- Unstable volcanic terrain and rock falls
- Extreme temperatures and thermal burns
- Altitude sickness and respiratory complications
- Remote location emergency response delays

📋 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Philippines Volcano Tours platform ("Service"), participating in volcanic
tourism activities, or engaging with our geological adventure services, you ("User," "Participant," or
"You") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Philippines Volcano Tours ("Company,"
"We," "Us," or "Our"), governing your participation in volcanic tourism activities in the Philippines.
MANDATORY ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to all terms, conditions, and safety
requirements outlined in this agreement. I understand that volcanic tourism involves significant
risks and I participate voluntarily at my own risk.

Pre-Tour Safety Assessment
All participants must successfully complete our comprehensive volcanic safety assessment, including:
- Physical fitness evaluation for volcanic terrain navigation
- Respiratory health screening for volcanic gas exposure
- Emergency response knowledge verification
- Previous high-altitude and extreme environment experience assessment
Mandatory Safety Training
- Volcanic Hazard Awareness: Understanding volcanic risks, warning signs, and
emergency procedures
- Gas Mask Usage: Proper use of volcanic gas protection equipment
- Emergency Communication: Satellite communication device operation
- Evacuation Procedures: Knowledge of emergency evacuation routes and protocols
Required Safety Equipment
Participants must wear/carry all mandated safety equipment:
- Certified volcanic gas masks and filters
- Emergency satellite communication beacons
- Heat-resistant protective clothing
- Emergency first aid and survival supplies
- GPS tracking devices for emergency location
⚠️ Health & Medical Requirements
MEDICAL CONTRAINDICATIONS
Volcanic tours are NOT suitable for individuals with:
- Respiratory conditions (asthma, COPD, lung disease)
- Cardiovascular disease or heart conditions
- Pregnancy or recent surgery
- Claustrophobia or panic disorders
- Mobility limitations or physical disabilities
- Age under 16 or over 65 without special clearance
Medical Certification Requirements
- Medical Clearance: Written physician approval for volcanic tourism participation
- Emergency Medications: Declaration and provision of all necessary medications
- Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel and medical insurance with volcanic activity

Health Monitoring During Tours
Participants agree to:
- Continuous health monitoring by certified tour medics
- Immediate evacuation if health conditions deteriorate
- Following all medical instructions from tour medical personnel

We continuously monitor volcanic conditions through:
- Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) alerts
- Real-time seismic activity monitoring
- Volcanic gas concentration measurements
- Weather and atmospheric condition tracking
Tour Cancellation & Modification
We reserve the right to cancel, modify, or terminate tours based on:
- Volcanic Alert Levels: Alert Level 2 or higher results in immediate tour
cancellation
- Weather Conditions: Severe weather posing additional volcanic hazards
- Safety Assessments: On-site safety evaluations indicating unacceptable risk
- Government Restrictions: Local government or PHIVOLCS advisories
Participant Responsibilities
- Immediate Evacuation Compliance: Follow evacuation orders without question or delay
- Safety Equipment Usage: Properly use all safety equipment at all times
- Guide Instructions: Strictly follow all instructions from certified volcanic guides
- Risk Assessment: Continuously assess personal safety and report concerns
⚖️ LIABILITY WAIVER & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
COMPLETE LIABILITY WAIVER
I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE:
- Philippines Volcano Tours and all affiliated companies
- Tour guides, safety personnel, and medical staff
- Local government units and emergency responders
- Equipment suppliers and transportation providers
FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR:
- Death, personal injury, or property damage
- Volcanic eruptions and related geological events
- Equipment failure or malfunction
- Weather-related incidents and natural disasters
- Medical emergencies and evacuation delays
Assumption of Risk
I VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS associated with volcanic tourism, including but not limited
to:
- Unpredictable volcanic activity and sudden eruptions
- Toxic gas exposure and respiratory complications
- Extreme environmental conditions and terrain hazards
- Remote location challenges and emergency response limitations
- Equipment failure and communication disruptions
💰 Booking, Payment & Cancellation Terms
Booking Requirements
- Advance Booking: Minimum 14 days advance booking for safety preparation
- Safety Assessment: Completed safety assessment and medical clearance
- Payment Schedule: 50% deposit upon booking, 50% balance 7 days before tour
- Travel Insurance: Proof of comprehensive travel insurance with volcanic coverage
Cancellation Policies
- Participant Cancellation:
- 14+ days before tour: 85% refund (15% processing fee)
- 7-13 days before tour: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days: No refund
- Company Cancellation (Safety Reasons): 100% refund or tour rescheduling
- Volcanic Activity Cancellation: Full refund or rescheduling within 12 months
Price Inclusions
Tour packages include:
- Certified volcanic guides and safety personnel
- All safety equipment and protective gear
- Emergency communication and tracking devices
- Transportation to/from volcanic sites
- Emergency medical support and evacuation insurance

Technology Usage Policies
- Device Requirements: Smartphones with GPS and emergency apps mandatory
- Communication Restrictions: Personal calls limited during critical safety periods
- Photography Rules: No flash photography near volcanic gas vents
- Social Media: Real-time location sharing restricted for safety reasons

- Hospital Networks: Pre-arranged agreements with regional medical facilities

Participant Medical Responsibilities
- Accurate disclosure of all medical conditions and medications
- Compliance with all medical instructions during tours
- Immediate reporting of health concerns or symptoms
- Consent to emergency medical treatment when unconscious or incapacitated

- Arbitration: Binding arbitration in Manila, Philippines
- Court Proceedings: Final resolution through appropriate Philippine courts
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL PHILIPPINES VOLCANO TOURS BE LIABLE FOR:
- Consequential, indirect, or punitive damages
- Lost profits, lost opportunities, or business interruption
- Acts of nature, volcanic activity, or geological events
- Third-party actions or government restrictions

FINAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT & ACCEPTANCE
BY PARTICIPATING IN PHILIPPINES VOLCANO TOURS ACTIVITIES, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:
- I have read and understood all terms, conditions, and safety requirements
- I voluntarily assume all risks associated with volcanic tourism
- I release Philippines Volcano Tours from all liability
- I agree to follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures
- I understand that my participation is entirely at my own risk
